This is my boy...my best friend..my soul mate...only 3 years old and now he is gone...he was hit by a car and passed in the arms of my daughter and my husband...the person who hit him...a nurse..never stopped...but someone followed her to her house...when the police arrived she denied it and said she was having her nails done...I told the officer...thats ok if she lied..Karma will take care of that...I just wanted her to know that he was loved...he was someones best friend...he was loyal, devoted, funny, a lover of the snow...the sunshine..hot dogs...toys that squeaked..he liked to sleep under the covers and lay his head on my pillow...he would nuzzle me to rub his belly and behind his ears...he loved to go for rides and run in the woods...when I was in pain he never left my side keeping watch over me and give me comfort...because of him...I came home to someone who loved me unconditionally....I talked to him like he was human...and when I looked into his eyes...he talked to me too...his eyes were filled with empathy and compassion..I knew his soul but more important he knew mine. |
Deborah, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain you are in now. I can't believe people who would not stop. May he rest in peace and my prayers are with you and your family. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah, How sad... You make me want to cry, what a beautiful loving companion you have lost... I feel for you, how a nurse, of all people, felt no empathy to help is beyond my understanding :( I want to give you a hug, you feel so helpless when our pets are hurt, I know one thing, your Dolce knew he was loved, and loved you in return, he is an adorable dog and although his life was short he lived it in full, giving and receiving happiness to his family.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you & this is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful pal,
Hugs Shelle xoxo
Deborah,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for you and your families loss! He was obviously loved and I am certain he knew this, just as you knew his love for you. My heart breaks for what you must be going through. He is such an adorable little guy! So sad that this person who hit him would not do the right thing...yes, you are correct, she will have to face it at some point in her life.
This was a beautiful tribute to your special Dolce.
Special hugs to you!
Lorrie
I'm so sorry for your loss, Deborah. Such s sweet dog - and a wonderful tribute to him. Love the pictures of him riding in the car! My heart goes out to you and your family, Debbie
ReplyDeleteDeborah what a beautiful post for your beautiful dog!!! I am so sorry for your loss! I can't believe a nurse wouldn't take responsiblity for what she did, but like you said, karma will take care of that! Dolce knew he was loved and he loved you truly too! You can see how happy he was! You said he was sad, you never know. Maybe he did know, it was his time to leave. They say, you do and animals are very intune with everything! Just remember, he may not be with you in body, but he is for sure with you in spirit!!! He loved his mommy!!!!! When you think of him, close your eyes and you will feel him around you!!! Big Hugs My Friend!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. I know how special and important our furry friends are. I too lost my dog abruptly two days after Christmas. I feel your pain. People say they are lucky to have us, I believe we are lucky to have had them in our lives. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your loss. It is obvious from this beautiful tribute that in his 3 short years, Dolce was very loved. He was lucky to have you, as well.
ReplyDeleteAll my love and hugs to you, Deborah. I know how hard this is. Stacy is right. Dolce's angelic spirit is still with you. There is no separation from love.

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss Deborah. I can see from this beautiful tribute how happy you and Dolce were in the company of each other.
ReplyDeleteIt is really sad the way he left :o( but I think he is probably up there playing in doggy heaven with my 2 chihuahuas. Take care
ReplyDeleteI'm late in commenting but my deepest condolences on your loss. Our babies bring so much love into our lives and it's always hard when they are taken away. May you and your family find peace in remembering Dolce and how much he loved you!

You all showed me so much love...your words were kind, compassionate, and empathetic. In the midst of one of my most sorrowful times you were all there for me. I want you all to know that your words were the beginning of my healing process and I appreciate and love you all.
